Brooke Shields has a natural, nice smile.

It is not the straight teeth that makes her smile beautiful. If you look closely you s

ee that her laterals ( the teeth next to the two front upper teeth) are rotated outwards slightly. The symmetry of the smile is the secret of her beautiful smile. As a cosmetic dentist I look to create harmony and symmetry on any smile I design. Her lips create a frame work that the teeth fill with a natural gradual curve. She shows a total of ten teeth when she smiles. I see so many people that have

had cosmetic veneers done without any attention to the fact that in order to make a smile perfect all the teeth int he smile need to be addressed rather than just the 4 or 6 front teeth.

Sarah Palin's Smile

Sarah Palin has definitlely had some cosmetic dentistry done. Her left lateral in her older photos (the photo on the right) is smaller and turned inward. A built up of specifically that lateral and may be more of her posterior teeth on her left is done to give her a fuller smile. In her official governorship photo ( the photo on the left )that lateral has slightly changed color which is usually seen with composite and not with porcelain veneers.

John McCain's Smile

John McCain has not have any cosmetic dentistry done. His lower crowded teeth and his large cheeck bone muscles represent a definte clencher. He advocates more traditional dentistry as indicated by his gold crown one can see when he smiles wide. For sure a procedure like Invisalign can make the lower teeth straight.
